Boston Rockets

Yes, it's true that Michael Jordan owned the NBA in the 90's. And yes, it's true that Michael Jordan left the NBA in pursuit of another dream he and his father shared. During that time, the NBA experienced a period of bliss, a time when teams other than the Bulls had a chance to see the top. Hakeem Olajuwon and his Rockets filled the shoes by winning both 1994 and 1995 Finals. Hakeem and Otis Thorpe held down the paint, both averaging a double double for the season in points and rebounds, while Kenny "the Jet" Smith closed out his career and Robert Horry learned the meaning of the bench. In 1995, though, Clyde "The Glyde" Drexler was added to the roster with no sacrifices, adding a dominating presence inside and out to the already dominant inside game. After winning two Finals in a row, the Rockets updated their 20 year old logo with a 90's version, one that we felt was far superb, even if their roster never would quite match the glory of 1995.
